Thirty Napier men have volunteered for service with the New Zealand contingent. ' The Legislative Council yesterday , followed tbe example of the Lower Houso by approving of the contingent to be sent to the Transvaal, and wound up with cheers. and the National Anthem. The Imperial authorities have placed in tbe colony an order for 2800 bags of oats.
