ORMCNDVILLE STOCK SALE

Mr W. Rose reports that the entry at the Ormondville stock sale on Tuesday comprised 50 head cattle and a couple of pens of fat ewes. There was a good attendance of buyers and brisk competition. Young steers sold freely ,itt a marked advauee ou previous sales. Prices realised were as follows : — . Cattle— Forward orllocks, £o ; 2yr steers, £2 14s; 18 to 20-month do., £2 48 to £2 12s; yearling steers, 28s 6d; springing cows, £4 .55; do. heifers, £3 os ; empty cows and heifers, £2 10s to £a ss. | Sheep — Fat crossbred ewes, 10s ; fat i half-bred ewes, 8s 9d.
