AT TRENTHAM PENSACOLA

Wins Harcourt Stakes P.A. WELLINGTON, this day. The Wellington Racing Club's spring meeting concluded at Trentham to-day in rain. The track was heavy and the attendance fair. Led All the Way Though Lunaria ran down the first two fences in the Rimu Hurdles .he warmed up to his task well to lead all the way for an easy win from Prince Dolomite, who just as easily beat Blue Title. Lunaria was trailed early by Prince Dolomite, Pen Wilt, Red Glare, Boloyna and Blue Title, but racing past the seven furlongs Rea Glare took second place from Prince Dolomite, while a little further on the favourite, Boloyna, started to drift. Prince Dolomite was handy to Lunaria as they raced to the last hurdle, with Greek Effort, Blue Title and Red Glare bunched several lengths back. Lunaria came on to win by two lengths from Prince Dolomite, with a similar margin to Blue Title. Colonel Bogey and Greek Effort followed, Boloyna being last. The winner carried £1101 and £1095, Prince Dolomite £560 and £755, and Blue Title £908 10/ and £995. Bay Kobe Easily Bay Robe forged to the front at the distance post in the Spring Novice and held on to win easily from Tribal Night, which stalled off Foxella by a short neck. Tumere was one of the last away, White Can soon taking over the pacemaking from Cooraclare and Broiebourne, with Bay Robe, Tribal Night and Czarina all handy. Tribal Night and Bay Robe closed on white Cap racing round the home turn, while a little' further on Foxella put in an appearance. Bay Robe gained a clear lead starting the last furlong and galloped on to win by a length and a half from Tribal Night, which Just lasted to hold off Foxella. White Cap was a eood fourth, with Cooraclare, Delinquent and Gay Corrie practically in line. The winner carried f6BO and £921, Tribal Night £12311 and £14261, and Foxella £144 and £277. ted Xhronghout Pensacola led throughout In the Harcourt Stakes, and though Golden Souvenir finished strongly he never looked like catching Pensacola, who was two lengths in front at the finish. Al Sirat was a poor third, just scrambling home from Rakanui. Pensacola Jumped out smartly and at the end of a furlong was clear of Competitor and Financial, with Al Sirat and Golden Souvenir next, followed by Gigll, Rakanui, Swingalong, Glenfalloch and Pallissy. Al Sirat moved forward to Join Financial in behind Pensacola as they raced past the nine furlongs post, and three furlongs further on the order was .unchanged, Pensacola being three lengths clear. Pensaeola's lead had been reduced as they raced to the straight, Al Sirat and Financial being a little over a length behind and clear of Glenfalloch, who had improved his position to be with Golden Souvenir while Competitor and -Gjgli headed the others. Pensacola drew away again early in the run home, while inside the final furlong Golden Souvenir set out after him, but had a hopeless chase. Three lengths back Al Sirat beat Rakanui by a nose, with Gigli, Swingalong, Financial, Glenfalloch, Pallissy and Competitor following in the order named.
