CAULFIELD CUP WINNER Rec. 11 a.m. MELBOURNE, this day. The Caulfield Cup winner has been given 71b extra weight for the Melbourne Cup, bringing his handicap to 9.2. The V.R.C. handicapper, Mr. C. Davis, said had Lawrence not been In the Cup he would have given St. Fairy more. Lawrence is now at a ridiculously short price lor the Melbourne Cup. Mr. J. M. Xlt'pbftft, the owner of Immediate, is in a Melbourne hospital suffering from pneumonia.
