UNIVERSITY STRIKE
Argentine Police Defeat Students BUILDINGS OCCUPIED Rcc. 11. BUENOS AYRES, Oct. 5. The nation-wide university strike ended in defeat, with one student killed and others injured and 1500 in gaol. A police communique says: "The forces of authority have occupied the buildings of six universities and ousted the students." The New York Herald-Tribune's Buenos Ayres correspondent reports that the police occupied the university buildings at La Plata and took prisoner 350 students. They are reported to have beat up some professors and many students, including girls.
