EAST INDIES AREA Rec. noon. • NEW YORK, July 12. Tokyo radio says that the Japanese have" cornered Allied troops who landed on Ternate Island, west of Halmahera, and are at present mopping them up. - . Tokyo radio, quoting a Domei News Agency report, claims that the Japanese early in June eliminated enemy secret agents who landed on Tariahmasa Island, off South Sumatra, Dutch" East Indies. They also spotted and wiped out a second enemy base on Tanahmasa.
