SPORT TO-MORROW
» REPRESENTATIVE RUGBY With club football rapidly approaching pre-war standard, unusually keen interest is being taken in the big game at Eden Park to-morrow, when the Auckland representatives will play the North Combined Services. Selected from players drawn from a wide area, the Services will field a strong, well-balanced side which should be capable of fully extending the Auckland fifteen. Since 1940 Auckland has played 31 representative matches and has only been defeated on three occasions. The curtain-raiser will be provided by Sacred Heart College, leading team in the Auckland secondary schools' competition, and Auckland Grammar. A first-class game is anticipated. The chief attraction at Carlaw Park to-morrow will be the game between Mount Albert and Otahuhu, both of which 'are in line for championship honours. Ponsonby and Manukau will provide the curtain-raiser on No. 1 ground, while on No. 2 ground Marist will play City in the early game and North Shore and Newton will meet at 3 o'clock.
