FOUND AFTER 28 YEARS O.C. SYDNEY, June 20. A letter in a bottle thrown from a troopship 28 years ago was found last Friday on a northern coast beach, between Nambucca ana Macleay. The letter was written in November, 1917, by Privates A. E. Gallagher and H. F. Mackenzie, who were then on the troopship Euripides, bound for France.
The letter has been given to Mackenzie, now an analytical chemist in Sydney. Gallagher was killed in Europe.
