TYRE MANUFACTURE
ATTITUDE OP FARMERS
P.A. WELLINGTON, Thursday. The primary producers' organisations of New Zealand will oppose the granting of monopolistic licenses, based on the restriction of imports, to any tyre manufacturers in the Dominion.
A meeting of the council of the Farmers' Federation decided to protest against the hearing in camera by the Bureau of Industry of applications for licenses to manufacture tyres in New Zealand. A motion was carried pressing for the inquiry to be open to the Press and to the public.
