MAIDEN SPEECH

MRS. H. C. ROSS IN HOUSE

TRIBUTE TO PREDECESSOR Parliamentary Reporter. WELLINGTON, this day. The new member for Hamilton. Mrs. H. C. Ross, spoke for the first time in the House of representatives this morning. It was on the occasion of tributes to the services of her predecessor in the Hamilton constituency, the late Mr. F. Findlay. She said that Mr. was always known in HamL 1 as-Frank, never as Mr. Findlay. Not only the National party, but the whole of New Zealand lost a good friend. A more generous heart she had never met. Mr. Findlay did not not care what people's politics were, but did everything he could for all. Humanity was his greatest characteristic.
