BUTTER AND CHEESE
THE GUARANTEED PRICE REQUEST FOR EARLY REVIEW P.A. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The National Dairy Conference today carried a Taranaki remit that in view of the changed economic conditions the Dairy Board be requested to arrange for the Dairy Industry Council to give early consideration to a review of the basic guaranteed price for butter and, cheese. With a view to attaining unity among farmers, the conference also carried a remit from the _ executive that as soon as the Dominion executive of the Federated Farmers has been elected a conference be held between it and the Dairy Industry Council with a view to securing cooperative arrangements on a basis mutually satisfactory to both branches of the industry. Pending such conference it was suggested to the Dairy Council that a representative each of the Dairy Producers Association. Town Milk Producers Federation, National Pig Council, and Bobby Calf Executive be added to the Dairy Industry Council.
