STOLEN FRUIT
The theft of 25 oranges and three lemons, of a total value of 5/, the property of the United States Government, was admitted by James Llewellyn Bevan (26). a wharf labourer, who appeared in the Police Court yesterday.
Sub-Inspector Sparks said some cases of oranges in the hold of a shfp had been damaged and Bevan placed the fruit in a suit case after he had finished work. He*had never previously been in trouble. Bevan, who explained that he found the oranges lying loose, was fined £3 bv Mr. J. H. Luxford, S.M.
