Hun Guns Turned On Russians In German Camp SURVIVORS* STORIES Rec. 1.30 p.m. LONDON, April 9. The Eighth Armoured Division reported the capture of a prisoner of war camp south-east of Soest, where the Germans turned artillery against the Russian inmates, says the Associated Press correspondent with the Ninth Army. • Survivors said they were marched from Essen, Dusseldorf and Dortmund two days previously. The Germans then placed artillery in an enclosure ahd fired against the approaching Americans. Then the Germans moved their guns back and fired on the enclosure, killing hundreds of Russians.
