GRAPES, TREE TOMATOES IjARGE supplies of celery There was a good demand for choice coloured tree tomatoes at the city njarfeets to-day, and heavier supplies of hothouse grapes were offered. Values remained firm. Supplies of Te Kauwhata grapes will soon, be finishing. There was still a fair demand for cape gooseberries and passionfruit. The market was very heavily supplied with tomatoes, values ruling extremely low. Large quantities of celery are being grown in the Auckland district this year, and the market is now particularly well supplied. Local cauliflowers are commencing to be marketed. Up to the present time the main lines of cauliflowers have been coming from Ohakune. Veretables.—Beet. 1/ to 4/ ease. Celetj: Cocking, 6d to 1/ bundle: dessert. 1/6 to 2/6 bundle.
