BUSY AUCKLAND MARKET GOVERNMENT STOCKS ACTIVE Government stocks were particularly active on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day, following a good start when tlie market reopened yesterday. Business was well spread over the 21 and 3 per cent issues, and also included two transfers of 4 per cent stock. Values were generally steady, reflecting only accruccl interest. Company shares were well represented in the list of sales, and here also there was little variation in the market. There continued to be a lack of interest in brewery shares.
