UNDEFENDED DIVORCES

FURTHER PETITIONS HEARD Six undefended divorce petitions were heard by Mr. Justice Callan yesterday afternoon. Petitioning for divorce from Kathleen Sullivan on the ground of her misconduct, John Roa Sullivan (Mr. Robinson) said they were married in February, 1937, and August, 1943, the wife brought as a guest to their house in Parnell one William James Potter, whom she had known before she met witness and who had been to the war and had just returned on furlough. Before long witness objected to the wife's intimacy with Potter, and in December. 1943, she and Potter went away and lived in a room in Onehunga. In January last year the wife returned and was forgiven, but in February she again went away, to return again March and was again forgiven. Later he found she was again meeting Potter, and she again went away to stay with Potter. After having heard corroborative evidence. his Honor granted a decree nisi with costs against the co-respondent. Divorce decrees granted on the ground of separation for more than three years were:—Arthur Ruthven Rutherford (Mr. Aekins) v. Florence Anne Cecilia Rutherford; Rose Regina Hamblin (Mr. Robinson) v. James Hamblin. On the ground of respondents' failure to comply with orders for the restitution of conjugal rights divorce decrees were granted as follows:—Cyril Frederick Raymond Quinlan (Mr. Aekins) v. Fredericka Alexandra Christina Quinlan; Henry Charles Reid (Mr. Aekins) v. Margaret Ruth Reid (Mr. Robinson); Muriel Phyllis Taylor (Mr. Robinson) v. Benjamin John Taylor.

RESTITUTION DECREES Decrees directing the restitution of conjugal rights by respondents were made yesterday afternoon by Mr. Justice Callan in the following petitions: Patrick Nathan (Mr. Robinson) v. Eady Lilian Nathan (2S days); June Audree Moore (Mr. Robinson) v. Algie Edwin Moore (six months).
