Stafford will be represented at the Auckland Patriotic Trotting meeting on Saturday by Binky Dillon and Mamanuas, a pacer and trotter respectively. After a successful tour of meetings held at Westport, Reefton and Greymouth during the 1942-43 season Binky Dillon was purchased by her present owners, who raced her extensively last season without winning. However, this six-year-old daughter of Jack Potts and Bessie Dillon recovered her form this term, and after registering three minor placings in four starts since the end of December she returned to the winning list on February 10, when she defeated Larissa, Loyal Nurse and 17 others in the Eclipse Handicap, one mile and five furlongs, in very stylish fashion whilst clocking 3.37 3-5 from a 3.50 mark. On Saturday she is on the limit of the Churchill Handicap, the main two-mile a five-year-old Quite Sure eelding from Mersa Matruh, has been very consistent this term, having registered three fourths, a second and two wins in his last six starts. At the Manawatu meetin! on Saturday he won the McDonald Handicap very easily in 4.49 4-o_ from a 5.1 mark. He is now on 84yds in the Army Handicap, 3.49 class.
