LARGE SUM INVOLVED
FARMHAND ADMITS THEFTS On seven charges of theft from dwelling houses in Auckland, involving money and property of a total value of £434, three charges of theft in Wellington of property of a total value of £35, and a charge of unlawful conversion of a car valued at £250, a farmhand and motor driver, Thomas William James, aged 23 (Mr. Noble) appeared before Messrs. H. Trevelyan King and J. P. Macdonald, J.P.'s, in the "Police Court this morning. Detective-Sergeant Aplin prosecuted. Accused pleaded guilty to all charges and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
