BAYSWATER BUSES
TEMPORARY DIVERSION
MINOR TIME-TABLE CHANGES
In consequence of the decision of drivers of the North Shore Transport Company, Limited, not to operate buses over the Bayswater-Bel-mont road after midnight to-night until the Takapuna Borough Council has taken some action to carry out road repairs on this route, minor alterations have been made by the company to its time-table to cover the temporary diversion of traffic to Devonport. Extra ferry services to Devonport are also being provided by the Devonport Steam Ferry Company, Limited. The entire Bayswater bus service will be diverted to Devonport. Buses will observe the usual time-table except in two instances. The first morning bus will leave Milford for Devonport at 5.40 instead of 5.50, while a bus will meet the boat which normally leaves Auckland for Bayswater at 11.30 p.m., but which will now leave for Devonport at 11.25 p.m. During the suspension of the Bayswater bus service, the ferry company will continue to run ferry steamers as usual to Bayswater for the benefit of residents of fhe Bayswater peninsula. An extra ferry will be run between Auckland and Devonport. Use will be made of both sides of the passenger ferry landing at Devonport. At Auckland the landing adjacent to the Devonport ferry berth will be used.
