FIREMEN'S STRIKE
Work Resumed After Agreement
With Board

SYDNEY, this day.
Firemen throughout New South Wales have resumed work. This follows an agreement which was reached yesterday between the Board of Fire Commissioners ana the Fire Brigades' Association at a compulsory conference before tne president of the State Industrial Commission, Mr. Justice Taylor. Under the terms of the resumption fire brigade officers are to carry out 'all clerical duties to which the firemen objected, the issue of a 73*-hour week is to be investigated by a committee of experts, and the suspended fireman is to be reinstated. No serious fires occurred in the State during the period of the strike.
