CLUBS AND SOCIETIES
New Women's Club.—At the reopening of the club after a recess of eight weeks, the programme consisted of general discussion on topics of public interest. Mrs. P. Humphreys presided. National Party.—At the first monthly meeting for the year of the women's organisation of the National Party, Mr. T. H. Morton, M.P. for Waitemata, was the speaker. Hp answered several questions and gave some information on the recently passed Milk Bill. Mrs. A. McCoshClark presided. New Zealand Fern Club.—The first meeting for the year took the form of a social, hostesses being members who had recently celebrated birthdays. The secretary and treasurer, Mrs. M. Wilkinson, welcomed members and their friends. Last year 34 parcels were sent to servicemen overseas, and during the afternoon several letters of thanks from them were read. An enjoyable programme was presented.
