HOME SERVICEMEN
AtTCKLiAXD BRANCH ACTIVITIES A request for the assistance of members in the queen carnival being conducted at present by the Auckland R.S.A. was contained in a letter read from the campaign organiser at the February general meeting of the Auckland branch of the N.Z. Home Servicemen's Association. Members agreed that the cause was a good one and it was decided to support it in every way possible. The rules were amended to combine the offices of secretary and treasurer, following the appointment of the treasurer, Mr. W. J. Moore, as secretary, at t he previous general meeting. Authority was also given for an alteration in rules so that vacancies on the executive could be filled by election at a general meeting instead of by the executive. Various sub-committees, which in the past consisted of executive members, were reorganised and will now consist of the chairman ex officio, a member of the executive as chairman, and members to be elected at a general meeting. The following sub-committees were set up: Rehabilitation, Messrs. W. J. Moore (chairman), K. Mills, L. Bray, J. Langdon, H. Thomas, W. Weatherall; housing, Mr. F. V. Moore (chairman), Miss Richards, Messrs. Davis, Inns, H. E. Phillips, R. J. Prime; club management, Mr. A. W. Crispin (chairman , ). Miss Vile, Messrs. Crump, Carter, Carrington, Wallace; social committee, Mr. W. G. Wheatley (chairman), Miss de Carteret, Messrs. Carter and Phillips.
