KIWIS' D DAY
2ND N.Z.E.F. STREET COLLECTION
Made possible by the very generous response by the Auckland public to the unofficial s'treet collection of last year, this year the 2nd N.Z.E.F. Association has been granted an official street day to appeal for funds to carry on the work for the returned Kiwi. The general public, which showed its appreciation on the unofficial collection day of the efforts of the returned men of this war to preserve his own identity and fight for himself, has been assured that the funds collected will be used for the whole benefit of the struggling returned soldier and not for buildings or monuments of any k;nd. Kiwis of every branch of the service are urgently requested to be on parade on Friday, Feb. 16, to put their weight behind the drive for funds for the welfare of their distressed colleagues and themselves.
