CLUB COMPETITIONS
In the first night of a two-night mixed pairs tournament held at the Auckland Bridge Club on Thursday night results were: — North-South: Mrs. D. McMillan and Mr. B. C. Bell, 253J match points, 1; Mrs. H. M. Hume and Mr. N. O. Morgan, 250, 2; Mrs. Strickland and Mrs. Aylett, 244 h, 3. East-West: Mrs. Coward and Mrs. • Lewin, 260 match points, 1; Mr. and Mrs. A. Meltzer, 259, 2; Mrs. H. M. Rogerson and Mrs. D. Williams, 254, 3. . . A one-night handicap teams ot four match held at the Northern Bridge Club resulted in a win for Mrs. J. Nettleton's team (handicap 11 per cent) with 429 i match points. Mr. B. C. Bell's team (scratch) was runner-up with 426} match points. Individual scores were: —
North-South: Miss F. Hall and Miss N. McCormick, 227 match points, 1; Mr. H. K. Brainsby and Mr. B. C. Bell, 212, 2; Mr. and Mrs. Claude Tucker, 195, 3. . , East-West: Dr. B. McKenzie and kr. N.
