GIRL FATALLY HURT
TWO CARS IN COLLISION
(P.A.) NELSON, Sunday. A collision between two cars at the intersection of Halifax and Tasman Streets at 2.15 o'clock this morning resulted in the death of one of the passengers. She was Joan Quinnell Thomas, aged 17, of 65, Wellington Street, Nelson.
Miss Thomas suffered a fractured skull and died in the hospital four hours later. Three other occupants suffered minor injuries and were able to return home after hospital treatment.
