STRIKE ALLEGATION
OVER 200 SUMMONSES
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. Over 200 summonses have been issued against waterside workers who participated in a stopwork meeting which lasted until 3 p.m. on October 11. The summonses were issued by the police on information laid by the Inspector of Factories.
The men are charged with being parties to a strike contrary to the Strike and Lockout Emergency Regulations, 1939. November 6 to 9 are the dates set for the hearing. About 50 men will appear each day.
