FOURTEEN CHARGES FAIL
PRICE REGULATIONS CASE
The suggestion that the Price Tribunal should insist on the September, 1939, price bfeing entered .on the form of application for approval of an increased price was made by Mr. F. H. Leviern S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday, when 14 charges of breaches by a firm of the price regulations failed. The defendant company was New Zealand Distributors, Ltd. (Mr. A. K. North and Mr. A. H. Winstone), and it faced a total of 29 charges. Two of these were withdrawn at the opening of the hearing. Fourteen charges were dealt with yesterday. Following an adjournmenl after the first nine cases had been dismissed the remaining five were withdrawn. The rest of th" charges Avere adjourned sine die. Mr. Cleal prosecuted.
