FIRE AT SCHOOL
OUTBREAK IN STOREROOM
When a fire broke out on Saturday afternoon in a shelter shed which was being used as a storeroom at the Otahuhu District School, a considerable amount of school equipment was lost. The fire was promptly attended by the Otahuhu volunteer fire brigade and the E.P.S.
Approximately 20 desks were destroyed, in addition to much equipment, 66ft of wicket matting and many boxes of young plants in a nursery at the end of the shed. The majority of the school's. gardening implements were also destroyed.
