VETERINARY SERVICE
OVERSEAS MEN FOR N.Z.
■ The growing shortage of veterinary officers in New Zealand is being met by a scheme for obtaining practitioners from overseas. A statement issued by the Dominion Federation of Farmers' Veterinary Services indicates that three young veterinarians have arrived from Canada and three more are due from Britain in the near future, A further seven being released in Britain for service in New Zealand will leave as soon as passages are available, and arrangements . are being made for interviewing other British applicants. . New groups considering the provision of veterinary services have been advised by the federation to make early application as it is intended to limit the number, of men from overseas so that positions will be available to those graduating in Sydney. . \
