AFTER RECORD
Haughty is to make an attempt to win her third Trotting Cup. She won £3675 in stakes during the past season. She is by Nelson Derby, a well-performed son of Nelson Bingen and the imported mare Norice, and a full-brother to Nelson Fame, which was a brilliant sprinter, and Native King, a high class trotter. Regal Voyage, dam of Haughty, was a splendid stayer, and in 1931 took a two-mile record of 4.19 4-5, being the first mare to get below the 4.20 line. Regal Voyage was got by Happy Voyage (2.4 1-5), one of the best pacers imported from Australia, from Logan Princess, by Logan Pointer from a Prince Imperial mare. Haughty may equal the record of Indianapolis, which won the Trotting Cup three times in succession.
