BRIGHTER PROSPECT
AUCKLAND GAS SUPPLY
The position in 'connection with the Auckland gas supply has improved. The manager of the Auckland Gas Company,- Mr. R. Worley, stated this morning that if things went on as at present, and nothing unforeseen happened, . industries could be supplied on Monday, and restrictions on householders removed. , , , , Mr. Worley added that it had to be clearly understood that if industry attempted to overtake arrears, the supply would not meet the demand. It was essential that industrial users should not exceed their consumption for the similar day of the previous month.
