RUGBY ON JULY 22
REP. AND COLTS' TEAMS BAY OF PLENTY'S INVITATION On the same day as the return Rugbv representative match with AYaikatcT at Eden Park. July 22, an Auckland Colts' team will travel to Pukekohe to meet a team representing the Pukekohe ?übunion. A request for such a cranio was received from Pukekohe by the Auckland Union's management committee last evening, following an inquiry from the committee as to the possibility of a game for a colts' team. The Bay of Plenty Union wrote inviting Auckland to riieet its team at Hotorua or Tauranga. but owing to travel restrictions it was decided the invitation could not be accepted at present. The University Club advised that the New Zealand University Football Council, with the consent of the Xew Zealand Rugby Union, had arranged for an interuniversity North Island versus South Island match, to be played at Cliristchurch on Saturday, July 22. Permission was given to any Auckland University players selected in the North Island team to take part in the game. The Junior boys' management committee reported that all junior boys' matches | would be postponed on Saturday week for the annual primary schools* Rugby field dav. The Xew Zealand Union advised that D. McGregor. H. A. Rogan and L. O. Davies had been reinstated.
