BOYS ON THE LAND
OWNER-FARMERS' PROPOSAL
Pointing out that the matter involved several departments, the Education Department, in a letter to the Tauranga District High School committee, has advised that it is unlikely any early decision will be given on a recommendation made by the Tauranga committee concerning the scheme of the School of Agriculture committee for placing boys on the land with a view to their ultimately becoming owner-farmers.
The Department states that the scheme will be brought to the notice of the Government and the recommendations made known.
