NATIONAL SAYINGS
Again last week the Auckland postal district attained its national savings quota. Investments amounted to £12,636, and together with a surplus carried forward, brought the total to £16,540. Investments for the year to date are £783,265, and £42,903 is required to complete the annual quota by March 31. The annual quota of the following sub-centres has been exceeded: — Awanui, Broadwood, Howick, Kaeo, Kaikohe, Kaitaia, ICawakaka, Kerikeri Central, ICohukohu, Mangonui, Mercer, Paparoa, Papatoetoe, Russell, Tuakau, Waipu, Waiuku. Amounts required to reach success are as follows:—Auckland City £24,580, Albany £600, Cleyedon £850, Dargaville £2700, Helensville £2000, Henderson £6500, Hikurangi £2000, Kaiwaka £700, Kaukapakapa £600, Kumeu £1100, Leigh £150, Manurewa £4000, Matakana £300, Maungaturoto £140, Onewhero £SSO, Otahuhu £5000, Papakura .£2500, Patumahoe £300, Pokeno £1500, Pukekohe £2000, Ruawai £1000, Silverdale £600, Waimauku £800, Warkworth £800, Wellsford £1000, Whangarei £4000, Whitford £600.
