The cannonball express" air service connecting America and India ha s been described as the world's fastest transportation scheme Thp cannonball" makes the 24,000 miles round trip in 180 hours. It provides special supplies for General Stilwell s forces and brings back mica tungsten and other high priority goods. J
The . speed of the planes has recently been increased five miles an hour by the removal of 1001b of paint from the aircraft.
