CHARMING WEDDING

HOLMES—HOGWOOD WHITE GEORGETTE WORN At St. Columba's Church, Grey Lynn, the wedding took place of Miss Rona Margaret Hogwood, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hogwood, of Grey Lynn, to Leading Telegraphist Harold Frederick Holmes, R.N.Z.N., only son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Holmes, of Invercargill.

The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a charming white ripple georgette frock with shirred bodice and full skirt forming a slight train. Her lace-edged tulle veil formed a second train and was held in place with a coronet of white cactus dahlias and roses. She carried a shower bouquet of the same flowers with carnations.

Her two sisters, Mrs. D. L. Fromont, of Wanganui, and Mrs. J. Maslen, of Auckland, were matrons of honour, frocked alike in shell pink taffeta, with full flared skirts. They wore coronets of pink cactus dahlias and roses and carried shower bouquets of the same flowers with blue delphiniums. Mr. J. Maslen and L.A.C. N. Holmes, R.N.Z.A.F., were best man and groomsman. During the service Miss Flo White sang "O Perfect Love."

The reception was held at the Domain Tea Kiosk, where the bride's mother received her guests wearing a navy and white ensemble with navy accessories, and shoulder spray of tiger lilies. The bridegroom's aunt wore an apricot frock, with tan accessories and shoulder spray of gold cactus dahlias.
