TRANSPORT RESTRICTIONS (P.A.) DUNEDIN, Monday. The restrictions on the transport of racehorses by road have now been tightened still further, and vehicles using gas producers are included in the regulations prohibiting the carriage of horses other than those used for farming purposes only for a greater distance than 30 miles. „ _ , A direction by the Minister of Supply and Munitions, Mr. Sullivan, in an oil fuel (horse transport) control notice, 1944, dated March 7, states that no person shall use oil fuel, which includes char used in gas producers, in any vehicle which is being used for tlie transport of horses by road unless the journey does not exceed 30 miles from the starting point to the destination or horses are being transported for farm purposes only.
