VISITORS ARRIVING

PROVISION FOR DIVISIONS

Quite a number of horses from the Auckland metropolitan area have already arrived at Claudelands for the South Auckland Trots on Saturday, and others are reported to be in the vicinity, "padding the hoof." It seeins likely, at this stage, that there will be a full muster of acceptors, and, if the weather remains fine, the combined clubs should have a very successful fixture.

Owing to the number of horses on the limit of the Frankton and Claudelands Handicaps exceeding the safety margin, provision has been made for divisions in both races; also for an increase in stake money from £175 to £275. Details of the divisions are:—

FRANKTON HANDICAP of £I's (or £275 if divided), one mile and a quarter, limit 3.s.—First division: Albert Tracey, Aranui Jack Balalaika, Bonny Gaillard, Crossroads, Dainty Jewel, Gay Spark, Julyssia, Merry Chimes, Noble de Oro. Noble Ken. Peter Pointer. Red Crest, Sumana, limit. Second division: Bill Ova, Frances Bel Gallant Navy, Great Shadow, Kallula, Lord Brooklyn, Medical student, Nuella, Professional. Sir Volo, Staveley's Lad. Tommy True, Wallaroha, limit; Brass Buttons, 48yds.

CLAUDELANDS HANDICAP of £175 (or £275 if divided), one mile and five furlonjrs, limit 4.3.— First division: Aranui Jack, Barberry, Dainty Jewel, Gallant Navy, Headline News, Maioha, Nuella, Noble Ken, Peter Pointer, Red Crest, Sumana, Sypland, Toronto Lass, limit; Carnival Queen, 48yds.
