AUSTRALIANS EASIER

A feature of trading on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day was a slight reaction in some Australian securities after a long spell of progressive price rises. Colonial Sugars dropped 5/ from the record high level of £60 touched last month, while Broken Hill Proprietary and Goldsbrough Morts were a little easier. The banking division was as firm as ever, New Zealands gaining another 3d at £2 5/3. A sharp rise was recorded in Mt. Lyells, a sale being reported at £1 14/, compared with £1 10/ In January. Government issues were very firm.
