GANGWAY DISPUTE
HARBOUR BOARD QUERY
The attitude of the crane drivers employed by the Auckland Harbour Board in the recent gangway dispute was the subject of reference at a meeting of the Auckland Harbour Board yesterday afternoon. Mr. H. Turner'said he had received a letter from an official on the waterfront stating the crane drivers had been asked to work the cranes during the dispute, but they had refused. It was decided to refer the matter to the board in committee and to ask the superintendent for a report.
