SENT FOR TRIAL
ON MURDER CHARGE SEAMAN IN WELLINGTON (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. Reginald Delone Surles, a seaman, aged 25, again appeared before Mr. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday on a charge of having murdered Robert Lane, a shipmate, on an American mercantile ship at a Wellington wharf, on December 3. Accused pleaded not guilty, reserved his defence and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial.
