DISPLAY LIGHTING
PROBLtEM OF RESTORATION
Display lighting may be restored to shop fronts and windows over the Christmas and New \ear period, according to advice received by the Auckland Electric Power Board yesterday from the Dominion Electricity Controller, Mr. F. T. M. Kissel. Permission was granted for the restoration of these lights from yesterday until January 6. Members pointed out that it would be impossible to comply with all requests for re-connections by shopkeepers in the short time at their disposal, but it was agreed that the ' board \ uld do its best with the staff and transport available.
