RED CROSS PARTY
An enjoyable afternoon was held yesterday at the Red Cross comforts department in Commerce Street, when about 100 guests were present. They were entertained with a programme organised by Mrs. D. Ellisdon.
Mr. A. A. Harker, secretary of the Auckland Centre, on behalf of the executive, thanked those present for their loyal co-operation and assistance in the many tasks they had to perform. Among those present were Mrs. Lobb, commandant of the department, Mrs. Hills, head of the sewing circle, and Mrs. Gaily, secretary of the comforts department.
