FUTURE MOTHERS
"HOME-MAKING IS IMPORTANT"
(0.C.) WANGANUI, this day. "I hope you are not going to bring your families up to an existence of fried chops, sloppy cabbage and seven cups of tea a day," remarked Mrs. W. J. Poison, the former Mrs. A. N. Grigg, M.P., in an address to pupils of the Wanganui Girls' College, which she delivered at the annual prize-giving. Mrs. Poison had praised the attitude of the college principal, Miss M. E. Baker, to domestic training, as one of the most important items on the curriculum of the girls' college. Home-making was sometimes disregarded and overlooked, she said, but the need for a proper understanding of food preparations and values as part of home-making was most important.
