U-BOATS' CAUTION
DUE TO HEAVV CASUALTIES British Official Wireless Rec. 1 p.m. RUGBY, Dec. 10. The Daily Telegraph says that the caution displayed by U-boats in their attacks can only be the result of heavy casualties in submarines and crews. During the past six months at least 150 U-boats have been sent to the bottom and 6000 trained personnel drowned or captured These losses, which cannot be fully concealed, must be discouraging even to the bravest crews, particularly when they find that the new method of equipment, which their leaders boasted about, ensures neither greater successes nor greater immunity.
