CHRISTMAS LEAVE
Surely something can be done to extend the Christmas leave of four days granted to our boys in camp. To those unfortunate enough to be in the South Island whoso homos are in Auckland, this leave gives them but 24 hours at heme. And they arrive home hardly sufficiently rested before they are leaving 0:1 the return journey. In many cases it is their last Christmas at hmne before going overseas, and considering what these boys are going through for us, to ensuer a world peace, surely a more liberal Christmas leave should be allowed. I see workers are to be given a few days' rest on full pay. Surely our fighting forces are entitled to Christmas and New Year. FAIR PLAV.
