WORKING HOURS
Mr. Matthews, in making the statement that bus drivers are the only section working -under an award which is called upon to work normal hours on Sundays and holidays without additional payment, forgot another section of workers, the fire brigade branch. This body of workers is called out Sundays and holidays and any old hour of the night without any extra pay whatever. A brigade man is on duty for 72 hours per shift and 24 hours off and is liable to be called out any of these hours Sundays or holidays. ONE WHO KNOWS.
