— -> Mr. J. W. Heenan, C.M.G., UnderSecretary for Internal Affairs, is at the Station Hotel. Mr. I. E. Newton, principal of the Wanganui Technical College for 21 years, has resigned. The Mayor, Mr. Allum, is attending a meeting of the executive of the Municipal Association in Wellington. He will return on Thursday. Mr. R. H. Bartley, general manager of the Auckland Electric Power Board, is in Wellington for a conference of power board and Works Department engineers. Miss Margaret Dalziel, at present on the staff of St. Margaret's, Christchurch and on the part-time staff of Canterbury College, has been appointed principal of St. Hilda's College. -
