TWO YEARS' DETENTION
(0.C.) WHANGAREI, this day. "There is nothing I can do with him. He is one of the worst cases I haye ever handled," said the probation officer when Sam Samson, a Maori youth, of Hokianga, appeared in the Kaikohe Police Court charged with theft on October 31. Samson, who was previously placed on probation, entered the Kaikohe Post Office and took £1 5/9 from a cash box. He was sentenced to two years' Borstal detention.
