COMPLETING THE ELECTORAL ROLL
\JEXT month's election will draw nearly double the usual number of *V new voters to the polling booths, provided that all have enrolled. Getting on the roll is one of those duties which have no seeming urgency, and many people are inclined to delay giving attention to this important matter. Only a few daj's now remain in which to secure enrolment, and it is the duty of -every" elector, young and old, to see that his name is. on the list.. The main rolls are available for immediate inspection; anyone whose name is not upon one of them and who has not signed an enrolment form recently is disfranchised. Forms can be obtained and completed at any post office, and at all the leading offices the rolls of all the Auckland electoral districts may be examined. Representatives of various .parties are visiting homes throughout the city in order to ensure as complete a roll as possible, but voters should no longer wait passively for this assistance. Only a few days are left, and any elector who has not done something to ensure that he is able to vote should see to it without further delay. Enrolment is a legal obligation, and there is no possible excuse for failure.
